投资 65 万美元用于巴尔的摩能源效率项目
正在巴尔的摩能源挑战赛 (BEC) 和城市学校可持续发展挑战赛 (CSSC) 项目中额外投资 45 万美元，使公司的总捐款达到 65 万美元。
巴尔的摩可持续发展办公室和巴尔的摩社区基金会连续三年合作管理这两个项目，帮助推进巴尔的摩市可持续发展计划的目标。
BEC 帮助城市企业和居民减少能 卢森堡电话号码 源使用，CSSC 帮助学校获得全州马里兰州绿色学校奖计划的认证。它还通过向学校提供 1,000 美元的赠款，为学生主导的环境领导力项目提供资源。
2009 年，巴尔的摩可持续发展办公室和巴尔的摩社区基金会在巴尔的摩的八个社区启动了 BEC，作为为期 9 个月的试点计划。同年，Constellation Energy 投资 20 万美元实施 BEC。
一年后，BEC 公布了试点的节能结果：平均节能 6.6%。市政府称，Park Heights 社区实现了 12.8% 的节约。结果，新增了 12 个社区，并实施了建立学校“能源中心”的新模式，签署了数千份能源挑战承诺并分发了免费能源套件。
