It's not official yet, but in an interview with the newspaper El País , the vice president of Facebook, Dan Rose, told some details of the new project that intends to capture the audience with audiovisual content and also on television.
“We consider that there is a user profile that uses Facebook who cannot stop to watch the videos during the day. We are working on an application to be seen on Apple TV, for example. We think it's interesting for users Phone Number List to save the videos they find within Facebook and watch them later on television. The tab is yet another way to inspire those who produce videos to make them longer. Thinking of them not so much as something that serves to promote something, but as a way to boost the community,” said Rose.
With this, Facebook will compete with Amazon, YouTube and Netflix, which already produce quality content for their platforms. Apple also announced two programs, but no launch date has been set yet.
Facebook hopes to be ready to start broadcasting in June with around 20 programs, with two different focuses. They will be quality attractions, with high production costs, similar to what is seen on pay TV, but with shorter episodes, between five and ten minutes each, totaling 24 hours of continuous programming.
