Economía 3 has held a debate table to highlight the importance of the chemical and plastic sector; their contribution to society both in job creation and contribution to GDP, as well as making their needs and demands visible. In an event held at our Alcatí Business Sports Club , an attempt was also made to raise the challenges that arise in terms of sustainability and how to combine them with the competitiveness of these strategic sectors.
Tried to bring together different voices that could contribute their knowledge about this industry. Among them, Jesús Carretero, director of Quimacova , the Chemical and Environmental Association of the Chemical Sector of the Valencian Community Country Email List attended ; Carlos Ledó, founder and general director of the company Idai Nature ; Sandra Dentell, partner responsible for PwC in the Valencian Community; Salvador Benedito and Cristina Monge, president and general director , respectively, of the Valencian Association of Plastics Entrepreneurs (AVEP) ; Empar Martínez, general director of Industry and Energy of the Generalitat Valenciana; Encarna Gómez , from the Ainia technology center , and Sergio Giménez, Business Director of the Plastics Technological Institute .
How can we achieve this objective of combining sustainability and competitiveness? What steps must be taken? What position are Spanish companies currently in? Will it be possible to achieve this goal by 2050? What position do we occupy in this sense with respect to Europe?
