The End of Slavery organization, in alliance with Marsanto, launched the annual #julioazul campaign with the purpose of raising awareness and socializing about the problem of Human Trafficking . This year 2023, the campaign added more than 80 strategic allies, in 15 cities in Jalisco and more than 130 cultural and artistic events; as well as academic forums, contests, dialogue tables, film forums and training. Various historical and cultural buildings of the State will be illuminated “blue” within the framework of the International Day against Trafficking in Persons, which since 2014 the United Nations General Assembly has commemorated every July 30. According to Oswaldo Contreras, Director of Fundraising and Special Projects to End Slavery AC, human trafficking is combated with the 3 Ps: Prevention, Persecution and Protection.
Additionally, this year, other states such as Michoacán and Querétaro will join this initiative; and Mexico City and Tijuana.
