This question raises an intriguing scenario that leads us to explore the positive impact that coffee production can have on the conservation of at-risk and endemic species in a region. In particular, the Organic Producers of Tacaná , within the framework of the Alliance for Sustainable Landscapes and Markets initiative, have carried out biological monitoring on their plots, revealing surprising findings about the relationship between sustainable coffee cultivation and the preservation of wild life. This has also been a response to climate change-related challenges that have negatively affected farmers, making their livelihoods difficult and even leading some to abandon coffee production altogether.
