Ipswich manager Jim Magilton has urged Stoke to either table a bid for or end their reported interest in 24 year old sriker Jon Walters. The Potters were rumoured to have made an offer for the 3 million rated Walters, who is said to be Colt McCoy Jersey unsettled at Ipswich and keen on a move back to the North West, last month but this proved not to be the case. Walters, who has been capped by Ireland atunder 21 and B levels has enjoyed spells in the region in the past with Bolton, Blackburn, Crewe and Chester. Magilton said, If Stoke are serious about Jon then they should make an offer. If not Rashard Lawrence Jersey then they should go away. It annoys me if it is unsettling Andy Isabella Jersey Jon. He is an Ipswich Town footballer on a three-year deal. We dont want to sell him, we want to keep him. If Stoke are showing serious intent in getting Jon then they should do something about it. If not they should leave alone and let us get on with it. He went on to deny rumours that there had been a bust up between himself and Walters, who has recently had time off in the North West for the birth of his second child, but confirmed that he would not stand in the strikers way if he wished to join Stoke. Walters, who is equally comfortable Zach Ertz Jersey on the right wing joined Ipswich from Chester in January 2007 for an initial 150,00 after impre sing in FA cupmatches between the clubs earlier that month. He has since made 45 appearances for the Tractor Boys, Kyler Murray Jersey scoring 16 times, including a hat-trick against Bristol City. Jon would make a good, if not world igniting addition to the Potters squad, and with the deal looking reasonably likely, the signing would be a welcome one. |
